Our postcode is PE32 1SL. If you’re using Google Maps, your directions will indicate you’ve arrived as you reach the small road leading to Hay’s Wood Retreat off Setch Road. Please note that the site is not visible from the roadside. For more detailed directions, click here.

You can book directly via our website by clicking the booking link. Alternatively, you can email your request to bookings@hayswoodretreat.com or call us on 01553 606000.

A payment of 10% of your booking total is required at the time of booking. You will receive a payment link to complete this. Once the payment is made, your dates will be confirmed, and you will have until one month before your arrival date to pay the remaining balance.

Your booking email will include a link for online payment. Alternatively, you can call reception on 01553 606000 to pay by phone. We accept credit/debit cards, and invoices can be provided upon request.

Please note that payment confirmations are not automatically sent.

Please be aware that we are a cashless site and only accept the following payment methods:

Debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)

Contactless payments

Mobile wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.)

In the unfortunate event of cancellation, we will first attempt to move your booking to a new date to retain your deposit and balance. If this isn’t possible but we are able to re-let the accommodation, you will only forfeit the 10% deposit. If we cannot re-let the accommodation, the full balance will still be payable. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.

Check-in: From 4:00 PM.  If you are due to arrive after 5pm please contact our reception team so that they are able to leave a key in the key-safe for you and send you instructions on how to access this. 

Check-out: By 10:00 AM.

A late checkout or early check in can be arranged for £10 per hour (maximum of 2 hours) subject to availability.  This must be arranged before your stay.

You are welcome to remain on-site until 2:00 PM after check-out.

Yes! Please contact reception to receive our full event booking details. While we are not a licensed wedding venue, we can host wedding blessings and receptions.

Full hire of the reception building, including meeting spaces, patio, and use of the commercial kitchen, is available for £1000 per day/night.

Alternatively, individual meeting rooms can be hired by the hour.

Your stay includes the use of your lodge and utilities. Bedding is provided, along with the following:

2x dishwasher tablets

1x sponge

1x tea towel

2x toilet rolls

2x bin bags

Bath Towels

Iron and ironing board

Hairdryer

You’ll also have complimentary access to the reception area, kids’ activity booklets, and the gym. 

Our lodges are self-catering, so you’ll need to bring:

Washing-up supplies

Extra toilet rolls and bin bags

Toiletries

Food and other consumables

Each standard lodge features one super king bedroom, with remaining rooms set up as twin singles. Our Lakeview lodges have one king room, one double room and one twin room that can be configured into a super-king.

If you need a different bed configuration, please notify us no later than 7 days before your arrival.

Yes, these items are available for hire at no additional cost. Please inform us of your requirements when booking so that we can set these up in your lodges ready for your arrival.

We offer 5 specific dog-friendly, three-bedroom lodges on-site. If you’d like to bring your dog, please notify us when booking to check availability of these lodges. Note that dogs are not allowed in the leisure building or non-pet-friendly lodges.

While we do not sell alcohol on-site, guests may choose how to enjoy their time in their lodges responsibly. Smoking, vaping, or any naked flames are not permitted inside the lodges.

Yes, you are welcome to bring a BBQ, but it must be used at one of our designated fire pit sites.

We currently offer a juice bar serving light refreshments. If you hire the reception building, you’ll have access to the commercial kitchen, which can be used by your chosen catering team.

Fishing is not currently permitted in our lakes, but we hope to offer this in the future.

Yes, we welcome bookings from contractors. Please contact us for availability.
