Nestled within the peaceful woodland setting of Hay’s Wood Retreat, our three-bedroom accessible lodges offer a welcoming haven for families, friends, or guests requiring additional support. Thoughtfully designed with accessibility in mind, each lodge combines comfort and practicality in a spacious open-plan layout that brings together the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need for self-catering, while the designated dining space is perfect for enjoying meals together. After a day of exploring, relax in the cosy lounge, complete with comfortable seating and a Smart TV for evening entertainment.

Each lodge sleeps up to four guests and features one accessible bedroom with a mobility bed, hoist support, and an en-suite wet room with toilet and shower. In addition, there is one double bedroom and one single bedroom, along with a further large accessible wet room for convenience. Step outside to your private patio, furnished with outdoor seating and a wheelchair-friendly bench, where you can unwind and take in the natural woodland surroundings.

Guests staying in our lodges also enjoy access to the on-site gym (ages 16+), as well as a shared patio and coffee lounge serving light refreshments. Please note, we do not have a bar or restaurant on-site, ensuring your stay remains peaceful and private.

Perfectly located for discovering Norfolk, the lodges provide easy access to some of the county’s most loved attractions. The Sandringham Estate, just 10 miles away, offers a regal day out exploring the historic house and gardens. For a closer encounter with nature, Watatunga Wildlife Reserve is only a 6-minute drive, where guided safaris take you through woodlands, wetlands, and grasslands.

If you’re looking for the coast, the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is within easy reach. Brancaster’s wide, unspoiled sands lie just over 20 miles away, while Hunstanton, less than 20 miles from the retreat, offers a lively seaside atmosphere with Victorian charm and family attractions. Holkham Hall, at 22 miles, is another must-visit with its grand architecture and expansive parkland, perfect for walking and cycling.
