Tucked away in the tranquil woodland of Hay’s Wood Retreat, our two-bedroom accessible lodges are designed to provide a relaxing and inclusive getaway in Norfolk. With thoughtful layouts and practical features, they offer a welcoming space for couples, friends, or guests needing additional support.

Each lodge sleeps up to three guests and includes one accessible bedroom with a mobility bed, hoist support, and an en-suite wet room with shower and toilet. The second bedroom is furnished with a comfortable double bed, making these lodges ideal for smaller groups or carers travelling with guests. A second spacious wet room is also provided for added convenience.

Inside, the open-plan living area brings together a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, a dining space perfect for shared meals, and a cosy lounge with a Smart TV for relaxing evenings. Large windows and step-free access keep the lodges bright and easy to move through, ensuring both comfort and practicality.

Outside, a private patio with accessible seating allows you to enjoy the peaceful woodland surroundings, while a shared coffee lounge and patio area offer a welcoming spot for light refreshments. Guests can also make use of the on-site gym (ages 16+). With no bar or restaurant on-site, your stay remains calm, private, and centred around the natural setting.

Hay’s Wood Retreat is perfectly placed for exploring Norfolk’s attractions. The royal Sandringham Estate lies just 10 miles away, offering history and gardens to discover. Watatunga Wildlife Reserve, only a six-minute drive, is home to guided safaris through wetlands and woodlands. For coastal adventures, Hunstanton and Brancaster are within 20 miles, while Holkham Hall and its expansive parkland can be reached in under 40 minutes.

As part of our ongoing eco efforts, we are always looking for ways to limit paper and other unnecessary waste. In the past, providing extra toilet rolls and supplies led to a lot of wastage, so we now provide one toilet roll per bathroom and one towel per guest. If you’d like more, you’re welcome to bring extras from home, or additional toilet rolls and everyday items can be purchased in our on-site shop.
